Moon

A bright sphere
luminescent
high above the earth
repeatedly hidden by clouds,
rain clouds, snow clouds, storm clouds,
reflecting itself on lakes, rivers, and ponds
its light grasping the last moment of
darkness, holding on to it tight
and letting it get captured
by dawn.
