"One night a man had a
dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with
the Lord..." Yeah, well, that's how the story starts out,
but through the years it's been watered down to the point
where some greeting card designer pasted a sunset over a
misty beach, printed the poem, and BAM! - "Footprints in the
Sand."
What most people don't know is that a man really had this
dream. (Or was it a woman?) There is a raging
controversy over the real dreamer, but four individuals
claim responsibility and each tell their unorthodox version
of the encounter in Peterson Toscano's play, Footprints,
An Inspirational Comedy.
Tony Buffusi, a kid
from da Bronx, had a wild dream after downing one of his
sister Maria's calzones before bed.
Jerry Wayne, a good
ole boy from Mississippi witnessed an apparition in his
soybean field that left footprints in the manure.
Sylvia Goldblum made
an emergency visit to her shrink, Dr. Rothstein, to get his
advice after having nightmares about Jesus and ham
sandwiches.
Basil Huntington
shocked his dinner guests by telling them what happened
recently in one of his dreams.
When you watch Footprints, An Inspirational Comedy, you just
might just get enlightened; you will definitely be
entertained. Peterson Toscano transforms himself into all
four characters during the 50-minute performance. (He
just purchased the nicest wig for Sylvia after she
complained about how she looked in the last performance.)
You will laugh. You will muse about life, and you will
NEVER read "Footprints in the Sand" the same way
again.
"An inspiring reinterpretation of a hackneyed
standard;
Peterson Toscano revives this tired poem
with clever humor and practical relevance."

"50 minutes of thought-provoking fun!
Toscano brings to life four different characters
who have experienced God when they least expected
to. Brisk, witty, and heartwarming!"
