Peterson Toscano's Bio
P

The single biggest influence in my life has been travel. I am fortunate to have lived and worked in Zambia, Ecuador, and England. The US is not quite the same after living in the African bush or up in the Andes or in an English village. In the U.S., I lived in New York City and in Memphis, TN (where I got in touch with my inner Elvis :-) Currently I am in Hartford, CT. where I teach 9th graders at the Watkinson School in a special learning skills program. One day I hope to teach in Spain or South America.

The creative arts have been important to me since I was a kid. I studied Theater and English Literature at City College of NY. In Zambia and England I worked in radio production. The work I do blends creative arts with biblical inspiration. This includes leading drama workshops and Bibliodramas. When I perform "Footprints, An Inspirational Comedy," it is as much a form of worship as it is a performance.

In daily life I seek creative outlets through writing, reading, performing, teaching, hiking, cooking and swimming. Works in progress include two novels, a children's book called The Funky Fullini Family Reunion, and two performance pieces. Seeing people find joy and expression through creative arts is something that I enjoy immensely. Anyone can sing; anyone can act; anyone can write, and I love to see someone find his or her voice.
